Voltage is, What is electricity?

Voltage is, What is electricity? There are two basic quantitative concepts of an electrical circuit. They allow to determine the status of electricity at the point, the different parts at different times of the circuit.

There are many people often misunderstood concepts of voltage and current together. In essence, these two concepts are completely different, but it has very tight relationship. Let’s go Standard Vietnam find out  voltage is, What is electricity? slightly.

Voltage is, What is electricity?

Concept voltage (voltage):

  • Voltage or voltage is the ratio of the difference between the high voltage where voltage and low.
  • For example in the power board voltage is 220v you and underground voltage is 0V, then we will be measured from the electrical panel to the ground will be 220v. Or in switchboards A voltage is 220v, in the power board voltage is 180V B, then we measure from Group A to Group B will be the voltage is 40v.
  • Or, more generally: the voltage between points A and B of the circuit (denoted U AB ) determined by the formula:

AB  = V A  – V B  = U BA

  • A  and V  is the voltage of A and B than the original (earthing point connection, also known as cool).

Example:  The figure below shows how to measure voltage using a multimeter at two points A and B of a DC source is connected through a resistor short circuit. Place the ladder in Vdc, 2 parallel probe with 2 points to be measured; probe red (VΩ) located in position A (Yang source), probe black (COM) in position B (sound source) we will measure the voltage placed on the 2 first resistor 6V, if reverse rods measurement results are -6V reversal or turn back the clock.

What is the voltage, electric current is what

The concept of electric current:

– current or amperage is manifest state of motion direction of charged particles. Electric current generated only when and only when there are enough 3 factors:

+ Power (Electricity)

+ Conductors

+ Load (material consumption)

Our current measured by the ammeter with the unit is a current in the circuit is generated by the load, and max current of the load does not exceed the power supply current. So when we get voltmeter and ammeter always differ:

+ Ammeter in series with the load.

+ Voltmeter in parallel with the mains.

* If the circuit element is only 2 wires and power which I still suffer additional 1 ammeter into the closed circuit within seconds of your device will be corrupted.

I have some comments below:

  • Voltage measured between two points is always different circuit while current is determined only at a point of the circuit.
  • To conservation of charge, the total value of the electrical current in a circuit is always equal to the sum of the value of current passing from that point  up on a circuit section consisting of elements connected to each other, the electric current in everything point is the same.
  • Voltage between two different points A and B of the circuit if measured in every branch any other resistor, between A and B are the same and by U AB . Ie the voltage between the two ends of many elements or multiple parallel linking always equal.
